The Avalon Theater in Hollywood was an incredible venue for a wedding. There were so many places to explore through out the multi-story building, the possibilities were endless. My favorite room ended up being on the top floor with an open sealing. The decorative elements were a perfect fit for bridal party and family pics. Because the Avalon Theater is a club, the DJ was on a stage about 10 feet above the crowd, creating a party-like atmosphere.
Jim and Ever and sister Brynn provided me with a lot of inspiration before the wedding and I had a great time trying to capture the feel they were going for. At one point during the evening the whole bridal party stopped traffic as they walked across busy Vine Ave. in front of Capital Records for a beatlesque shot. I have done this picture before at other weddings but it makes it a much more compelling image with Capital Records in the background.
Lastly Ever and Brynn (Sister of the bride) work in the wedding industry and own an all inclusive event coordinating and design company. Check out their business page on facebook here: www.facebook.com/SoireeSisters. They were a pleasure to work with. It was nothing short of amazing to see the venue transform from night club to spectacular wedding venue.
